Project Overview and Impact
Impact Wellness, IWC's fourth care package initiative, also marks our first in-person volunteering event! Over 40 volunteers from across the GTA gathered at Millennium Park for a day of outdoor care package assembling. Led by the Impact Without Contact Executive Team, volunteers assembled 1,700 care packages, which consisted of menstrual and food products.
The packages were then delivered to shelters across Ontario including Neighbour to Neighbour, The Salvation Army, Mission Services, and Interval House.
Thank You to Our Sponsors
A special thanks goes to Maker Pizza for sponsoring a pizza dinner for our volunteers, and CHAT Insurance Services Inc. for providing the resources that made this event possible.
Additional Details
Volunteers were each awarded six volunteer hours to account for both their work and commute to and from Millennium Park. Due to the in-person nature of the initiative, registration was on a first-come-first-serve basis and closed when capacity was reached.
Although this opportunity is now closed, similar remote volunteer opportunities will be offered in the future. Stay up to date with our initiatives by following @impactwithoutcontact on Instagram!
