A two-pronged project that aims to both raise awareness about mental health, as well as distribute mental health kits that supply useful tools such as fidget toys, sleeping aids, and mental health pamphlets.
As a continuation of our Holiday Care Package project in 2020, the IWC team and volunteers created care packages with food, clothing, and holiday cards for homeless shelters Homes First and Good Shepherd Ministries.
Thanks to a generous sponsorship from Cetaphil Canada, we were able to create and distribute hygiene packages containing toiletries and sanitary items for homeless shelters in the GTA.
Our free and completely virtual tutoring program, which offers one-on-one homework help to students who are having difficulty adjusting to online learning.
For the holiday season, our Canadian branches collaborated to assemble and donate Holiday Care Packages with hygiene products, PPE, and handwritten Christmas cards to homeless shelters in Toronto and Waterloo such as Youth Without Shelter and OneROOF Youth Services.

COVID Column
A social media advice column where our executive team advises our followers on common issues that resulted from COVID (such as disrupted routines, mental health problems, virtual learning, pandemic lay-offs, and more).
Our social media initiative designed to help students going back to school adjust to common online learning problems such as reworking school term goals, beating procrastination, and finding tools to maximize productivity.
Put together by a team of 10+ IWC volunteers, our charity concert featured 5 performers who sang to raise money for COVID-19 relief. All proceeds were donated to the University Health Network to purchase PPE for frontline workers.
Partnering with Socks 4 Souls, IWC’s sock drive (led by the directors of our Waterloo Subsection) helped raise 300+ pairs of socks for OneROOF Youth Services.
IWC's podcast that aims to give frontline workers a platform to share their stories, and shed light on the challenges that they face. Available on 8+ platforms.
Put together by 40+ IWC volunteers and sent to care centers all over the GTA, Hear Together was an audio project created to help isolated nursing home residents adjust to the lockdown through providing resources to learn about COVID-19, interactive activities, and encouraging messages.
Premiered shortly after the lockdown began, our #UniteWithoutContact video campaign aimed to bring viewers together and show them that they weren’t alone during quarantine.
