Help out care centres whose residents may be experiencing difficulties during their self-isolation.
Why It Matters
On top of their existing medical conditions, residents in nursing homes are faced with the unnerving uncertainty of COVID-19. Extensive protective measures (such as restrictions on visitors and community events) have been put in place, which has resulted in heightened feelings of loneliness and depression.
Battling this pandemic with weakened immune systems and worsened spirits is going to be tough— but we want to do everything we can to help. Every conversation, every letter, and every phone call can make a world of difference.
Make An Impact
How You Can Help
Support the physical and mental health of residents by engaging in video and phone calls and reminding them that they’re not alone.
Write encouraging letters to seniors to let them know you’re thinking of them, and create positive artwork and graphics to send to senior homes.
Help senior residents by providing technological support, delivering groceries, or teaching them skills during the quarantine.
